We are looking for fun, energetic and motivated staff to join our team this 2023 Summer season! We have both camp counselor and aquatic positions available.

POSITION: 
CAMP COUNSELOR

Duties :
  • Supervises campers and ensures their safety and general well-being. 
  • Maintains a schedule for camp participants.
  • Lead various small and large group activities
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the site
  • Mediate any camper disputes
  • Knows, enforces, and follows all safety guidelines associated with the camp program, including knowing the whereabouts of your campers at all times.
  • Make sure that campers are having FUN! 

Qualifications / Skills:
  • Must be at least 16 years old or older to apply

Important To Know:
- Our Summer Camp runs Monday - Friday from June 19th, 2023 until August 18th, 2023. 

- Counselor hours are 7:15am - 4:30pm. 
- Counselors will be active and outside all day long.

POSITION:
 LIFEGUARD 

Duties :
  • Supervise swimming activities at the aquatics facility and ensure that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.
  • Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.
  • Evaluates conditions for safety and initiates aquatics emergency action plan as required.
  • Responsible for cleaning the pool and related facilities and equipment
Qualifications / Skills:
  • Swimming proficiency and comfort in all types of water conditions
  • Ability to judge and evaluate evolving dynamics of individuals participating in aquatic activities to immediately assess their capabilities and threats to their safety
  • Knowledge of on-site protocols, operational procedures, and safety policies
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services
  • A current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification, or be able to obtain it before start of employment. 

Lifeguards report directly to the Lifeguard Manager and Aquatics Director

POSITION: WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR (WSI)

Job Description: The water safety instructor will teach participants how to be safe in, on and around water, and teach swimming techniques, strokes and water competency. 

Duties:
  • Teaching swimming techniques, swimming strokes, and water safety rules to students with varying swimming abilities.
  • Assisting more experienced swimmers to enhance their swimming abilities.
  • Assessing the progress of students and adjusting teaching programs accordingly.
  • Monitoring students to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Implementing ground rules for each swim session.
  • Planning swimming lessons that take into account students’ abilities and progressive development.
  • Ensuring that the swimming pool and locker rooms are kept clean and tidy.
  • Communicate with participants and guardians their progress
Qualifications / Skills:
  • Swimming proficiency and comfort in all types of water conditions

All WSIs will report directly to the WSI administrator and Aquatics Director.

POSITION: FRONT DESK

Duties include:
  • Opening the facility (i.e  doors, lights) 
  • Equipment safety check 
  • Pool chemistry safety check
  • Customer check ins
  • Register customers and take payments
  • Cleaning the facility (aqua bot, skimming pool)
  • Restocking shelves 
  • Receiving phone calls
