Join us for a vibrant, hands-on Flag Bunting Workshop for Kids, where young artists will transform simple fabric into custom-designed celebratory banners! This creative session invites children to explore their imaginations by designing unique flag patterns using a variety of high-energy art tools.
Workshop Highlights:
~ Fabric Art Mastery: Kids will learn to work with different fabric shapes, such as classic triangles or "shield" styles, to create the base of their bunting.
~ Bold Customization: We’ll use vibrant fabric paints for bold splashes of color and permanent fabric markers for detailed sketching, lettering, and fine designs.
~ Texture & Play: The fun doesn't stop at painting; children can add flair with nature-inspired stamps, buttons, sequins, or simple stencils to make their flags pop.
Instructor Info: Lise-Anne Cooledge and Jen Thompson have been working together for over 5 years. Currently, they offer workshops and classes at ReMarket (owned by Lise-Anne) located in downtown St. Albans (46 N. Main St.). The shop is a multivendor rented space with a dedicated space in the basement that is ideal for classes and workshops. They have partnered with the Recreation Department to offer a diverse selection of options for kids aged 8-12 during early release Wednesdays as well as are planning single and multiple day options for the summer.
