Get ready to get a little messy and a lot creative! In this colorful workshop, every child will receive their own 4-inch terracotta pot to transform into a personal masterpiece. Whether they love clean lines or wild swirls, we have a technique for every style.
Young artists can choose their own painting adventure:
~ The "Messy" Pour-Over: Learn the satisfying art of acrylic pouring! We’ll layer vibrant paints and pour them over the pot to create trippy, marbled patterns and cool "drip" effects.
~ The Traditional Brush: For those who want to paint specific patterns, polka dots, or tiny gardens, we’ll have plenty of brushes and palettes ready to go.
This class is all about texture and color. We recommend wearing an old t-shirt, especially if you're choosing the pour-over method—things are going to get colorful!
Instructor Info: Lise-Anne Cooledge and Jen Thompson have been working together for over 5 years. Currently, they offer workshops and classes at ReMarket (owned by Lise-Anne) located in downtown St. Albans (46 N. Main St.). The shop is a multivendor rented space with a dedicated space in the basement that is ideal for classes and workshops. They have partnered with the Recreation Department to offer a diverse selection of options for kids aged 8-12 during early release Wednesdays and are planning single and multiple day options for the summer.
