Turn "trash" into a colorful textile treasure! In this hands-on workshop, kids will learn how to transform everyday materials into a beautiful piece of woven art. We’ll start by building our very own DIY looms using sturdy recycled cardboard, then breathe new life into fabric scraps, old t-shirts, and ribbons by weaving them together.
During this eco-friendly session, young artists will:
~ Master the Loom: Learn how to "warp" a cardboard base to create a foundation for weaving.
~ The Over-Under Technique: Practice the rhythmic basics of weaving to build texture and pattern.
~ Sustainable Styling: Discover how to mix different fabric weights and colors to create a cozy, fringed wall hanging.
