Day Camp 2026 - Rec Rascals (4 & 5 year olds)
At this time, there is no registration discount available for MRUSD students, unlike in previous summers. Due to uncertainty regarding federal funding, MRUSD has not yet received confirmation of the allocation for summer programming and may not receive this information until shortly before the start of camp. Families will be notified if funding becomes available.
What is Rec Rascals?
Rec Rascals is specifically designed for the kiddos who are eager to dive into summer camp fun but haven't yet completed a year of Kindergarten. This program offers a fantastic opportunity for your 4 and 5 year olds to experience all the joy and adventure of summer camp in a shortened day and week. Our nurturing, experienced counselors will make sure your child is safe, included, and having the time of their life. Rec Rascals is all about fostering fun, friendship, and growth in a joyful, supportive environment.
Racsals have their own designated space at Hard'ack. but they will still get to join in n the fun of Day Camp activities when it's the right camp. From active games and sports to creative arts, storytime, and even pool time, your child will be immersed in a variety of exciting experiences that promote skill development and boost confidence, all while having a blast!
Schedule:
Rec Rascals runs Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 2:00pm at the Hard'ack Recreation Area. There is NO camp on Fridays.
Need an earlier drop-off? No problem! You can register for early drop off at the same time you register for Day Camp. Early drop-off allows you to drop your child off at 7:30am (no earlier). This is a separate registration and an additional charge.
There is NO late pick up option for Rec Rascals. All campers must be picked up by 2:00pm. If you are late picking up your child, please call to let us know that you will be late. There is a $20 charge for each 30 minutes and/or portion thereof after 2:00pm. The charges will be automatically added to your recreation account.

A Typical Day
8:30-9:30am: Drop Off
9:30am: Morning Meeting & Snack
10:00am: Planned Activity
11:00am: Lunch
11:30am: Get Ready for Pool
12:00pm: Pool Time
1:00pm: Free Play
1:30-2:00pm: Pick Up
Registration Information
Registration is done by the WEEK (Monday-Thursday). You can sign up for 1 week or all of the weeks, that is up to you and your family! We do NOT allow single-day registrations.

Rules & Expectations
Campers must be toilet-trained.
Sunscreen should be applied at home and included in your camper's backpack. A counselor will help them reapply it thgouhout the camp day.
All items should be labeled with the camper's name.
