You shop, they play!
The holidays are here and we know how busy this season can be! Between gift shopping, wrapping, decorating, and holiday events, it can be hard to find time to get everything done. That’s where we come in!
Join us for our Holiday Drop & Shop, a special afternoon designed to give parents a well-deserved break while providing kids with an unforgettable day of fun. From 12:00–4:00 PM, parents can drop their children off at City Hall, where our friendly and energetic Recreation Staff will lead a variety of exciting activities that will keep everyone active, creative, and smiling.
Kids will enjoy a fun-filled afternoon packed with activities for everyone! Kids can jump and laugh in the bouncy house, join in some friendly games of basketball or Gaga ball. If they’re feeling creative, they can build with the blue building blocks or make festive crafts to take home and share. After all the excitement, we’ll all get together and enjoy a cozy holiday movie to end the day.
While the kids are having a blast, parents are encouraged to take advantage of this time to finish up holiday shopping, grab a coffee, or simply enjoy a quiet afternoon. Make sure to visit our beautiful Downtown shops and local businesses — it’s the perfect opportunity to shop local and find those last-minute gifts that make the season special.
Our recreation team will ensure your child has a safe, active, and joy-filled afternoon while you take care of your holiday checklist stress-free. So, make the most of your December weekend. Drop the kids off for some festive fun, and enjoy a few hours of peace, productivity, and holiday spirit!
What To Bring:
- Shoes to run around in
- Layers (kids may be cold, but once they start running and jumping they will quickly warm up)
- Snacks! (there will be no meals served, so make sure they have plenty of snacks)
- Water bottle
Drop Off: Drop off between 12-12:30 in the St. Albans City Hall Auditorium. Please walk your child in and make sure they are signed in by our Recreation staff. NO child should come in on their own.
Pick-Up: All children MUST be picked up by 4:00pm.
This fun-filled night is open to kids in Kindergarten through 6th grade. A quick reminder that all children need to follow the rules of the St. Albans Recreation Department. Failure to follow expectations will result in your child having to leave the program early.
In case of emergency, you MUST leave us a number to get in contact with you during the three hour period you will be gone.
