From: Beyond the Wall
Looking to spend some time on yourself, but feeling guilty that doing so means not spending time on your kid(s)?
Got a kid (or kids) who think they know how to work harder than you do?
Trying to find the right opportunity to connect productively with your rapidly aging teen(s)?
Want to get out of the house on a dark, cold winter evening?
Then bring yourself AND your kid(s) to the Hard'ack Pool for a beach workout with Beyond the Wall's Tom Koldys, who will put you through 1 hour of fun yet challenging land and aquatic based activities designed to build strength, test limits, and create a truly memorable shared experience. We'll be using every part of the beach from the land, to the zero-entry, to the 4ft shallows to provide a full-body workout that incorporates sufficient rest.
Participants should:
- be comfortable in the water, but you don't have to be a strong swimmer
- be able to swim independently or tall enough to stand in 4ft of water
- bring a water bottle
- goggles are optional
- wear swim attire appropriate for the activity, recommendations:
- avoid anything loose fitting / baggy
- feel free to wear short or long-sleeved rash guard type shirts whether for comfort or increased resistance
- shorts for comfort or increased resistance
- use your judgement, we will be running, swimming, and doing other forms of plyometric exercise in and out of the water
- arrive 5-10 minutes early as we will begin promptly
