The St Albans Recreation Department has partnered with NHL STREET to provide some OFF ICE hockey fun in St Albans this summer season!
Games for this league will take place on Monday evenings at Collins Perley (parking lot). The game schedule will be released after registration closes.
No equipment is necessary but players can wear protective equipment if they would like (mouth guard, helmet, gloves)-all are recommended. Goalies MUST wear a helmet. Please make sure players are wearing proper footwear. Footwear should be closed toed.
All registrants will receive an official logo jersey with an NHL Pro team printed on it.
-REGISTRATION PROCESS-
1-Friends chat and decide on a team of people with up to 10 players (more is allowed but may decrease playing time for each player). Your team can have a mix of boys and girls but everyone should fit within the age category (7-10 years old OR 11-14 years old).
2-Teams will choose a Pro NHL team to be included and represented on their jersey. Jerseys are branded with actual teams. You will indicate this Pro team when you register.
3-One person from the team (parent representative) will contact Lee at the Recreation Department with team info ie-the teams Pro NHL team preference.
5-Individual players will register on our website so that we have info for each person. There will be a prompt to include which team you are registering with (include the Pro team name). If you are registering without a team, please indicate that and we will fill you into a roster.
BE SURE YOU KNOW WHEN REGISTERING WHICH PRO TEAM YOU'LL BE PLAYING FOR.
Teams don't need a coach BUT do need a parent volunteer to help with substitutions during game play.
