Is your little one eager to dive into summer camp fun but hasn’t quite completed a year of Kindergarten? Rec Rascals is the perfect fit! Specifically designed for our youngest campers—4 and 5-year-olds—this exciting program offers a fantastic opportunity for your child to experience all the joy and adventure of summer camp in a shortened week.

Running Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Hard'ack Recreation Area, Rec Rascals offers a fun-filled schedule with age-appropriate activities. Need an earlier drop-off? No problem! Just reach out to the office at 802-752-2165 or 802-524-1971. (Great for families with older campers in Day Camp too!)

Registration is done by the WEEK (Mon-Thu). You can sign up for 1 week or all of the weeks - that is up to you and your family!

Rascals will have their own dedicated space at Hard'ack, but they'll still get to join in on the fun with Day Camp activities when it’s the right fit! From active games and sports to creative arts, storytime, and even pool time, your child will be immersed in a variety of exciting experiences that promote skill development and boost confidence—all while having a blast!

Our nurturing, experienced counselors will make sure your child is safe, included, and having the time of their life. Rec Rascals is all about fostering fun, friendship, and growth in a joyful, supportive environment. Get ready for a summer of smiles, laughter, and unforgettable memories!

We are happy to announce that we will be partnering with the Maple Run Unified School District again this summer to provide reduced rates for summer day camp. If your child will be/currently attends a MRUSD school, they are entitled to a discount from 50% to 100% off registration to our Rascals Camp for Weeks 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 (see schedule below). Students who receive Free and Reduced Lunches may qualify for a 100% scholarship.  These weeks have been pre-selected by MRUSD.

If you live in St. Albans and your child attends SATEC, SACS, or BFA the discount is automatically applied when you register. If your child attends Fairfield or does not live in St. Albans but attends an MRUSD school, please call the office at 802-752-2165, 802-524-1971, or 802-524-1559 and we’ll apply the discount to your registration. 

Similarly, if you notice the discount is being applied to your registration and your child does NOT attend an MRUSD school, please call and let us know. This discount is ONLY for MRUSD students. You will be responsible for the remainder of the registration fees.

All registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis and are final. All registration and conduct regulations apply. If your family needs to switch a week, we will do our best to accommodate your needs, but wholesale changes and cancellations cannot be accommodated.

Rec Rascals Information
  • Drop off is at 9:00am at Hard'ack Recreation Area. If your family needs an earlier drop off, please contact the office at 802-752-2165 or 802-524-1971.
  • Pick-up is at 2:00pm.
  • Each camper should bring clothes for the weather, an extra change of clothes, snacks, lunch, a water bottle, sunscreen, swimsuit and a towel!
  • Campers should wear shoes that are fit for running and moving.
  • Sunscreen should be applied at home and included in your camper's backpack. A counselor will help them reapply it throughout the camp day.
  • All items should be labeled with the camper's name.
  • All campers should be potty trained.
