GREG BROWN LODGE RENTAL

Greg Brown Lodge
The Greg Brown Lodge is a lovely facility at the base of Hard'ack Hill. The great room is available to rent to the public.  The lodge rental includes a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom.  The St. Albans Recreation Department Office is also located in the lodge.
The lodge boasts beautiful views with large windows overlooking the hill and fields.  There is a wrap around patio included in summer/fall/spring rentals as well as a stone fire pit on the lodge available for use at an additional charge.
The lodge is outfitted with (5) six foot tables, 46 chairs, 5 coffee tables, 2 love seats, 1 couch, 1 overstuffed chair, 5 ottomans and beautiful stone gas fireplace.
The patio has several picnic tables, benches & Adirondack Chairs.
Bathrooms consist of 2 - one womens, one mens.

Important Winter 2025 Rental Information
During the winter months from January 1 - March 16, 2025 the lodge will only be available for morning rentals on Saturdays and Sundays as the hill (and lodge is open for skiing & sledding - conditions allowing).
The hours for availability are from 9am to 12noon. Renters can get in at 8:30am, and will need to be out by 12:30pm. These hours make a great option for brunch showers and get togethers.

GBL Rules:
  • Capacity is 99 people.
  • Respect In & Out Times.
  • Must be 21+ to rent.
  • Wash any dishes used.
  • Clean sinks after use.
  • Do not use our paperware or food.
  • You are responsible for your guests.
  • No Helium Balloons
  • No tacks, tape, nails, putty or command strips on any painted or wood surfaces. Glass only.
  • No smoking, vaping, ecigs or tobacco product use on property.
  • Renter must be on site during event.

GBL Rates & Reservations
  • Minimum Rental is 3 hours. Three hour block for residents $400, nonresidents $500. Each additional hour is $125 for residents, $150 for nonresidents.
  • Fire Pit Use - Starts at $50. Fire is set up - we can start fire, or leave igniter & fire starter for renter to start later.
  • Late lock up fee - Lock up after 10pm $100 fee.
  • Large Event Fee - (Weddings, Reunions, Fund Raisers, Community Events, etc) $300-$800 fee if onsite staff is required day of rental.
  • How do you set up a rental? First, set up a household account on myrec.com (this website) then give the office a call at one of these numbers to speak with a staff member to confirm a reservation date and time.

  • A $100 nonrefundable deposit will be taken at the time of the reservation. If the reservation is cancelled, there is no refund. If you need to change to another date, the deposit will be transferred to the new date.
