This program is currently unavailable. Click here to view all of our current programs.

The primary purpose of this program is to teach and promote the game of lacrosse in a fun, safe, and respectful environment.  We believe in "Honoring the Game."  This means as a club we strive to instill the values of sportsmanship, respect, teamwork, fair play and the love of the game.  These values are important in developing our youth into contributing members of our community.  As a member of US Lacrosse, we follow the practices outlined by the Positive Coaching Alliance.

NVTYL Membership fee for players in Grades 3-8  is included in the registration fee.
St. Albans Recreation will be submitting the US Lacrosse Memberships for all players, saving families an extra step of signing up and purchasing that membership. All players who play in the NVTYL must have a valid US Lacrosse membership.
Membership is not required for Tykes and Grades 1 & 2.
If you already have an up to date US Lacrosse membership please call the office and we will take $30 off the registration cost.

New members are welcome at all ages!

Equipment Requirements
USA Lacrosse (Not St. Albans Rec) sets equipment standards.  If you're new to LAX, you may not know that the boys game and girls game are quite different.  Different rules, different equipment requirements - we agree, it's confusing.
Here are current requirements:

All Girls Grades 1 and up:
Cleats, mouth guard, stick and eye protection
Headgear and close fitting gloves are optional.

All Boys Grades 1 - 2:

All Boys Grades 3 and up:
Cleats, helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, stick & mouth guard - In addition, all Boys in grades 3 and up must have NOCSAE certified chest protectors.  Without NOCSAE certified chest protectors they will not be able to play.  Certification will be indicated on the chest protector.  If you are purchasing new, ask the sales person.  If you're using a hand me down, or buying 2nd hand, check for the certification.  Referees will not let kids play without them.
