When? Tuesday mornings 10:15am - 11:00am starting November 28th!
Description: Low impact does not mean low intensity! This shallow water aqua fitness class incorporates unique, structured blocks of activity, each with a specific purpose. Offers a blend of H.I.I.T. (High Intensity Interval Training), strength and cardio training. Athletes and land-based fitness fanatics are encouraged to leave their turf and head for the surf. This is an intermediate to advanced class that can be modified to most levels. Breaks are always welcome. Some swimming skills or familiarity with water movement is helpful. AEA-certified instructor, Laura Thomason.
Meet the Instructor - Laura is an avid lover of the water and stumbled across an aqua fitness class while waiting for open swim to start one morning in 2016. The rest is history. She now passionately teaches multiple aquatic formats and her goal is to change the perception of aquatic fitness so that more people of all ages and athletic abilities will learn how effective and beneficial it can be move in the water. Laura's specialties include S'WET, Aqua Strong, and Aqua HIIT. Certified with the AEA and S'WET. Laura is working on her butterfly stroke this winter. Outside the pool, Laura enjoys cooking for her family and bikejoring with her husky.
