Grab your tennis racket and get ready to play!
Whether you’re a beginning, an intermediate or an advanced player, this program will improve your game and help you get more enjoyment from tennis.
Jaime breaks down the fundamental skills of tennis through easily understood games and exercises to help improve the player's coordination and technique.
Players learn proper grips, footwork, strokes, volleys and serves during a series of drills designed to teach skills in a fun and dynamic way. In addition to developing a love for tennis, athletes will learn the rules and etiquette that make tennis such an exciting game to play.



Session1: 9am-10 Beginner tennis 
Beginner tennis is for kids ages 8-15 who are interested in learning tennis. This program is best for kids with no prior tennis experience. Participants will learn tennis basics with a focus on ground strokes. 
 
Session2: 10:15am - 11:15 Intermediate tennis (For kids 8 - 15 who have basic tennis skills.)
Intermediate tennis is for kids ages 8 - 15 who have basic tennis knowledge and skills. Participants will focus on consistency with ground strokes, basic serve and volley development and rallying. 
 
Session3: 11:30am - 12:30 Match Play  (For kids 12 - up who are ready to play matches)
Match play is for kids ages 12 and up who are ready to put their skills to practice. Sessions will include warm ups followed by singles and doubles play. 



About the Instructor - Jamie Olson
Jamie loves tennis and loves teaching tennis even more. She played tennis for Castleton State College back in the early 2000s where she won a singles and doubles conference championship. Jamie has taught at MVU for fifteen years and looks forward to becoming a part of the Saint Albans Rec community. 




Equipment
  • Players are welcome to bring their own equipment, however we have racquets players can use.
  • Participants should wear comfortable clothing and court shoes.
  • Participants should bring water bottle with their name on it.
