Back again for the 2023 Day Camp season...Counselor In Training (CIT)!!
Our CIT program is designed to provide young people, ages 13-15, leadership and development opportunities through "hands on" learning experiences. The program will provide participants with an orientation/on boarding training, the opportunity to participate in camper supervision, and assist with activity planning implementation.
If a CIT candidate was previously a camper, they must have demonstrated positive behavior during their time at Day Camp.
CITs will develop personal skills to make decisions and define a sense of confidence and caring, becoming a future leader. All in an atmosphere of fun and friendship.
Each session is two days per week (either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) with the option of signing up for 1 week or all 9 weeks of summer learning.
All CITs should be prepared for their time at camp by bringing lunch, snacks, beverages, swim suit, towel, & sunscreen. Closed toed shoes and/or sport type sandals (Ex. Tiva or Chaco) should be packed each day, as well as clothing for all weather situations.

Participation in the CIT program does not imply nor guarantee future employment with the St. Albans Recreation Department. Participants in the CIT program participants must model appropriate behavior and language. They must be engaged and take their responsibility seriously to be considered for this activity.
