Fall Crafts for Home and Gift Giving
Join the fun, meet new friends, laugh, learn, and be productive!
Come learn how to make fall and Christmas items for your home or gift-giving. Each week you will learn how to make a new item. Items include decorative pillows, placemats, napkins, table runners, aprons, wall hangings, pot holders and mug rugs(plant mats, candle mats) and Christmas stockings. You supply the materials needed from the class list and I will supply the sewing machines, instruction and motivation. No sewing experience necessary.
Come learn how to make a simple pillow - October 23rd - 6:30-8:30 pm
You may create a holiday pillow or pillow for everyday use. You may choose to create a simple quilt pattern for your pillow or use one fabric. You will learn the various ways you can construct pillows and learn about some methods to embellish them. Pillows make great additions to any home or porch and make great gifts. Reading pillows for books or tablets are quite popular right now.
Learn the basics of crocheting - October 30th - 6:30-8:30 pm
In this session you will learn how to crochet some of the basic stitches and create a scarf.
Learn to Embroider some basic stitches and complete a small project -
November 6th - 6:30-8:30 pm
In this session, you will learn some of the basic embroidery stitches that may be used with cotton embroidery thread or wool with crewel embroidery.
Learn to make some fun, simple Christmas ornaments -
November 13th - 6:30-8:30 pm
In this two hour session, you will learn to make a few fun, easy Christmas ornaments that make great gifts.
Create placemats, napkins, aprons or table runners for your Thanksgiving or Holiday table - November 20th - 6:30-8:30 pm
In this two-hour session, you will get to choose among a few items to liven up your holiday table. You choices will include table runners, placemats, napkins, and table runners.
