St. Albans Kids on Track!
Kids can run, jump and throw in events that stress FUN, not competition. Track meets 2 times a week - Mondays and Wednesdays. For some kids, the program offers an opportunity to refine their natural abilities, for others, it may be the spark that ignites their interest in an activity that is mentally, physically and socially rewarding. Each participant will receive a T-Shirt.
Never run before? Doesn't matter, you'll learn the basics and learn how to train and participate in races.
Experienced runner? Great! You'll improve your technique and times.
It's a great, fun way for kids to stay active this summer and meet new friends. Participants will train for the the Vermont Recreation and Parks State Meet held at St. Johnsbury Academy on Saturday July 20, 2019. Kids must be 7 years old by August 30th to participate in the meet. Participants need regular running sneakers. Transportation to and from meets is parent's responsibility.
Participants in the Kids on Track program choose whether they want to compete in the meet or not as well as which events they would like to do.
- Parents are responsible for transporting participants to and from the meet.
