Kids on Track!
Kids can run, jump and throw in events that stress FUN, not competition. Track practice is 2 times a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays. For some kids, the program offers an opportunity to refine their natural abilities, for others, it may be the spark that ignites their interest in an activity that is mentally, physically and socially rewarding. Each participant will receive a T-Shirt.
Never run before? Doesn't matter, you'll learn the basics and learn how to train and participate in races.
Experienced runner? Great! You'll improve your technique and times.
It's a great, fun way for kids to stay active this summer and meet new friends. Regular timing and distances will be measured so that those who are interested can chart their progress over the summer.
COVID - All covid guidelines will be followed and will be adjusted as they are changed at the state level.
Kids must wear masks when not running. Arrive in mask, put mask on when doing other jumping and throwing and when finished.
Kid that are ill cannot attend.
Staff will ask health screening questions at drop off.
Parents must wear masks at drop off and pick up, and if they stay to watch.
All spectators must adhere to social distancing guidelines.
