REC Days 2024-2025 - May REC Days About Our Program!R.E.C. Days is our daily; Recreational-Educational-Creative program, taking place in the afternoon at Hard'ack. Participants meet at the Greg Brown Lodge after school for afternoons that are designed to be fun, active, and engaging for kids in Kindergarten through 6th Grade.Hard'ack is the perfect place for children to be able to do a variety of different activities. Kiddos can expect a mixture of outdoor play, games, sports, crafts, pool time and more! Outdoor play can include but is not limited to going for hikes and nature walks, playing games out on our soccer fields, or enjoying our super awesome new playground! Our program also includes indoor activities such as crafts, perler beads, friendship bracelet making, coloring, cards, and more! We are also fortunate to have access to the year-round Hard'ack Pool! Throughout the whole school year, there will be multiple days a week where registrants will be able to utilize our pool and go swimming after school! If there is one thing we can guarantee - it's that the fun never stops!! TRANSPORTATION TO HARD'ACK - If your child attends SATEC or SACS, they are able to ride the school bus right to Hard'ack after school. Our staff will be waiting for them and meet them daily as they get off the bus. However - families must confirm with their schools that they will be attending our program, to ensure your child takes the correct bus at the end of the day.
If your child does NOT attend SATEC or SACS you will need to provide transportation to get to Hard'ack. MONTHLY THEMESApril: TINKERING AND BUILDINGMay: CAMP FAVORITESJune: TBAFor the month of June, you can choose which day(s) you would like your child to attend. It is NOT by the week for this last month since there are only certain days that we will have programming. There is a set fee per day, rather than a fee for the month. Please note there is NO afterschool programming on Monday, June 9th or Tuesday, June 10th. The last day of afterschool will be on Friday, June 13th regardless of what the last day of school is. All monthly themes are subject to change. WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD BRING??- Clothes for the weather!! (you can always count on us playing outside if the weather allows, so please make sure your child is prepared with clothes for the weather conditions - rain jackets, snow gear, boots, etc.)- Snacks!! (We do NOT provide an after-school snack so please make sure your child has something they can eat once they get here after school!)- Water bottle - Swimsuit and towel (they always should be prepared to go to the pool)Pick-Up! Pick-up is anytime before 6:00pm at Hard'ack! All children MUST be picked up by 6:00pm. To offer more camp opportunities, we are partnering with MRUSD and Collins Perley Sports & Fitness Center to offer a second location for Day Camp this summer! Students who receive Free and Reduced Lunches may qualify for a 100% scholarship. These weeks have been pre-selected by MRUSD and apply to Summer Day Camp, CIT Program & Teen Adventure Camp.
