Hosted by 14th Star Brewery. 

This isn't just any old brew tour, this brew tour is different. Hosted by 14th Star Brewmaster Dan Sartwell, this brew tour will dive into more of the process that is involved in brewing some of Vermont's best beer. The tour will consist of a 1-hour tour of the inner workings of the facility where Dan will explain the entire brewing process in depth while answering questions along the way. The tour will include, but is not limited to the following aspects/ processes:
 
Ingredients>Milling>Mashing>Lautering>Boil>Whirlpool>Cooling>Fermentation>
Conditioning>Carbonation>Packaging>Consumption :)
 
The tour will give you a behind the scenes look at the facility as well as in depth information about the whole brewing process. The tour will serve as a jump off point for people who may be interested in a future course dedicated to brewing beer. The tour will conclude with a tasting in "The Room" as well as a question and answer period for people to pick Dan's brain about the brewing process. Get in before it's full. This program has a max of 20 people.

Dan Sartwell Bio 
Brewmaster - 14th Star Brewing  
With a true passion for brewing and years of experience — Dan is the man when it comes to craft beer. A passion that grew from is very first homebrew batch, Dan's career in beer began at Shed Brewery in Stowe, VT and continued as he made a name for himself at Rock Art and von Trapp Brewery. Dan was the first hire to join the 14th Star team in March of 2013 and he was promoted to Brewmaster in 2014. As Brewmaster, Dan is in charge of every aspect of the production of 14th Star beer, including ingredient selection, creating unique beer recipes, and overseeing his brew team of six. The quality of 14th Star's beer is a direct reflection of Dan's passion and unwavering commitment to brewing the best beer on earth. Dan is one of only five Certified Cicerones in the state of Vermont, a program that consists of mastering beer styles, detecting off flavors and defects, and proper serving practices .A Franklin VT native, Dan also enjoys spending time with his family, foraging for chaga, and telling dad jokes.
