An Introduction to Yoga and Mindfulness for Kids
Stressed about a test? Yoga can help. Feeling too scattered to focus? Yoga can help. Tired and need more energy? Yoga can help that too! Come join us!
We’ll begin our practices with OM and end with Namaste, and there’s so much more in between. Our yoga practice will include fun poses like warrior, dancer, boat, sphinx, and cobra, with some breath work, music and games added to the mix. We’ll close our practices with everyone’s favorite: Shivasana for relaxation! While we enjoy and explore together the practice of yoga and mindfulness, we’ll gain strength, flexibility, balance and focus; both on and off the mat.
- No experience necessary.
- Yoga mats provided.
- Comfortable clothing recommended.
For kids ages 4-12 Sign up required.
2 sessions for each age range.
Ages 8-11 from 9:30-10:30am - Parents are not required to stay for these classes but if they would like to they are welcome to hang out and wait for their child outside of the the room.
Ages 4- 7 from 11:00-11:45am - Parents ARE required to stay for these classes. They can participate on mat with their child or to the side helping them.
This 4-week session will be held on Saturday mornings February 3, 10, 17, and 24.
