The 11th Annual St. Albans Winter Carnvial kicks off Saturday night February 16, 2019 with a beautiful winter display of Fireworks in downtown St. Albans and then a fantastic day Sunday, February 17, 2019 of outdoor fun with games, contests,  races and all kinds of outdoor adventure for the whole family on Sunday at Hard'ack Recreation Area.  The Duct Tape Derby, sliding, skating, 4th Annual Flag Football Snow Bowl and other family activities take place at Hard'ack on Sunday starting at 11am.

11:00 am Winter Wonderland Family Nature Walk with Bridget Butler - FREE - but must pre-register



11:00am-2pm - Family Activities and Kids Games!

11:00am - Howrigan Sugarhouse - Sugar on Snow.

11:00am - Start of 4th Annual Touch Football Snow Bowl!

12:00 pm Snowshoe Trek with Lille Bowler - FREE - but must pre-register


2:00 Duct Tape Derby (Derby day Registration begins at 12:30pm). At 1:15pm all contestants will be asked to assemble with their vessels to meet with the judges to get a close look at design and costuming. No registration fee this year!!
Create a vessel out of duct tape and cardboard, bring it to Hard’ack and race it!  See complete rules and details below under forms.

Winter Carnival

Winter Wonderland Walk with Bridget Butler 11am
Join naturalist & Bird Diva Bridget Butler for a lively nature walk and some gameplay! We'll explore the trails at Hard'ack solving mysteries in the snow, mimicking animals in winter, and getting in touch with our inner nature artist. Each family will receive a Winter Adventure Hunt to take home! Please dress for the weather. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
